2023-24 Dallas Mavericks Roster Unveiled
Point Guards
The Mavericks will once again be led by All-Star guard Luka Dončić, who is coming off a season in which he averaged 34.3 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 8.7 assists per game. Backing up Dončić will be Spencer Dinwiddie, who was acquired from the Brooklyn Nets in the Kyrie Irving trade. Dinwiddie is a veteran point guard who can provide scoring and playmaking off the bench.
Shooting Guards
The Mavericks have a number of options at shooting guard, including Dorian Finney-Smith, Josh Green, and Reggie Bullock. Finney-Smith is a solid defender who can knock down shots from three-point range, while Green is a rising star who has shown flashes of brilliance on both ends of the court. Bullock is a veteran sharpshooter who can provide the Mavericks with a much-needed outside threat.
Power Forwards
The Mavericks' power forward rotation will be led by Christian Wood, who was acquired from the Houston Rockets in the offseason. Wood is a versatile big man who can score in a variety of ways. He will be backed up by Maxi Kleber, who is a reliable defender and three-point shooter.
Small Forwards
The Mavericks have a number of options at small forward, including Tim Hardaway Jr., Jaden Hardy, and Dwight Powell. Hardaway is a veteran scorer who can provide the Mavericks with a spark off the bench. Hardy is a rookie who has shown promise as a scorer and defender. Powell is a solid rebounder and defender who can also provide some offense.
Centers
The Mavericks' center rotation will be led by JaVale McGee, who was signed in the offseason. McGee is a veteran big man who is known for his defense and rebounding. He will be backed up by Boban Marjanović, who is a fan favorite and a reliable scorer off the bench.
