Lillard Returns, Leads Blazers Past Pacers
Grant, McCollum Shine in Victory
Portland, Ore. - Damian Lillard returned to the lineup on Friday night and helped the Portland Trail Blazers to a 116-108 victory over the Indiana Pacers.
Lillard, who had missed the previous three games with a calf injury, finished with 22 points and 10 assists. Jerami Grant led the Blazers in scoring with 28 points, while CJ McCollum added 27 points and five 3-pointers.
The Pacers were led by Domantas Sabonis, who had 25 points and 14 rebounds. Caris LeVert added 23 points and Malcolm Brogdon had 18 points.
The Blazers took control of the game in the third quarter, outscoring the Pacers 33-21. Lillard and Grant combined for 22 points in the quarter, and the Blazers led by 12 points heading into the fourth.
The Pacers cut the lead to four points with just over two minutes remaining, but the Blazers held on for the victory. Lillard hit a jumper with 1:03 remaining to give the Blazers a six-point lead, and the Pacers missed their final three shots of the game.
The Blazers improved to 11-29 with the victory, while the Pacers fell to 20-20.
